    Camp Lejeune NC Alignment

I need someone in the Camp Lejeune area that can do a proper alignment on my 2014.

    It's stock height and suspension.

I've had two done, and it is still tearing up the outside of the passenger tire.

I only have 5000 miles on the tires and jacked up.

It's a few hours north, but Suffolk alignment in Virginia did an outstanding job on mine and perfect tire balancing with the 35s I have on mine.

I gave them the specs that Thurn puts out, which handles excellent.

I had initially taken it to Firestone for an alignment, and it gave my truck death wobble problems.

Suffolk alignment put it exactly where it needed to be, and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you, I would like to stay somewhat local. If anything, the family can make a weekend out of it.

How is the wear with the Thurn settings?

I have some rims I'm waiting to put tires on, and I don't put them on until I get a solid alignment.

I plan on a leveling for the front.

The Thurn specs made a night and day difference in the truck's handling.

It went from them steering wheel shaking pretty bad on every bump to only on really bad bumps and even now it only moves a tiny bit and immediately settles out.

I get a little bit on the outside of the front tires as far as tire wear, but obviously, some of that is due to cornering.

Still, there is also a .3 degrees camber that you can't do anything about in a solid front axel unless you change ball joints not going to take out my Carli joints for .3 degrees.

The trip from Lejeune isn't too bad.

My brother-in-law used to be stationed there and would come up on the weekends all the time.

Not sure if they do alignments, but they sell a lot of suspension stuff.

    Down East Offroad in Wilson.

    Brown's Alignment in Raleigh.

Carolina Diesel Trucks in Fuquay Varina.

Awesome I was looking at the Thurn specs and I printed off the instructions for my alignment.

My daughter and son-in-law are stationed out here, and I work on the base.

My wife is going out of town in a couple of weeks; maybe I'll take the ride up there then.

I'm a local here in Onslow County.

Please take my word for it and go to Battlefield Tire in Swansboro.

Good ole boy area down here, and they'll take care of you.

Awesome, thank you I'll give them a call.

With my new truck same thing still has more wear on the passenger side.

    It's very frustrating.

I know the roads dip to the right.

But I feel it shouldn't have this effect.

2018 2500 68RFE, Amp steps, Thurn leveling kit and suspension, Harters wheels 35 in tires. coming: Trans tuning, intake horn, 3.5 in charge pipes.

    Only tearing up one tire?

This would point to a camber issue.

The toe issue would be the same on both tires (equal).

Can you see the top of the tire if it's tilted outward at the top?

Wear on the outer edge on one side point; too much positive camber.

This is strange as normal suspension wear occurs, tires tip inward or go negative.

Was it slid into a curb? (usually this is RF) or any changed components, i.e., knuckle?

Too much + camber on one side and not the other would also create a pull to the left, but the normal road crown for water drainage may counter that to where you won't notice it (slopes to the right).

If you are in camp Lejune, don't drink the water. (see those trip-n-fall lawyers trying to extract money on TV all the time about camp lejune water)
