Anybody Use This Pillar Mount For The MM3?

My suction cup mount keeps falling off, so I started looking for the pillar mount that DRD used to sell but can no longer find on his site.

I ran across this one being suggested in a different forum saying they also work with the MM3.

I was just wondering if it's worth the money.

The attached photo is from eBay.

I'm wondering if anyone used it and how did they like it.

I kind of like this idea instead of replacing the entire A-pillar.

I haven’t tried it, but it looks like a reasonable option.

This one is also available from RaceME Canada.

Re: Anybody Use This Pillar Mount For The MM3?

So I went ahead and ordered it.

1st thing I'll say is it was packed like it came from Amazon.

Box was 4x larger than it needed to be.

It took not even 2 minutes to install.

It took me longer to buy another 10mm socket than to install it.

After installing it, I noticed I could quickly bounce it around with my hand.

I'm hoping I won't have problems with it vibrating while driving around.

I'll update this post once I can get some driving in.

After a couple of hundred miles, I only see vibration when I'm driving on dirt roads with a washboard, but the entire truck is vibrating then.

I was looking at the Edge pillar mount, but I feel it puts the MM3 too close to the windshield, and the RaceME mount looks excellent but not $94 grand, LOL.

Do either of these mounts conceal the cable?

Currently have mine mounted here but looking to change things up!
