    UO151 Issues?

Hello, I have 2019 2500 that has been on a diet using MM3/DRD tuning, stock auto trans, and no other mods.

Last week, while driving, the ESC light came on with the message to service electronic stability control.

A day or two later, I got service Airbag system and Service trailer brake system messages on the dash.

I have checked the codes, and the only one showing is UO151 ( lost comm with restraint control). I've cleared the code, and as soon as the truck starts, it returns, and all three messages.

I've checked the batteries, and they are showing good. I just put the charger on to ensure they are at full power, etc.

I also tried returning to stock tune and reloading, etc.

    Any ideas where to start?

    Thank you.

Do you have an aftermarket remote start on your truck?

Mine did that last week, and I discovered that the previous owner installed an aftermarket remote start unit that works with the original key fod.

I yanked it all out and haven’t had any issues since.

One place it taps is your canbus system at your trailer brake module harness.

I deal with Canbus systems daily at work, and they can give you many codes that have nothing to do with the real issue.

Not sure if this is your problem, but hopefully, it will help you in one way or another.

    See attached troubleshooting information.

You may have a CAN C Bus circuit open circuit or a bad Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).

I would start by checking the powers and ground at the ORC module.

    UO151 Issues?

    Good morning.

Thank you for all the help.

I spent a couple of days trying to diagnose the issue myself; unfortunately, it just keeps getting worse.

Now the Seatbelt chime won't shut off in motion.

I dropped it off at the dealer last night.

I will report back on what the discovery is.

    Thank you again!
