P0871 P0700 Codes?

I have a big hunch it's because of a lack of voltage.

I had a similar scenario: I hooked a charger up to the driver battery, and it finally took.

I had a charger hooked up to the passenger battery, which held 14 volts the whole time and still failed.

Is there a difference between hooking to the driver vs passenger battery?

It shouldn't be any; they run in parallel together.

At the cable just before the battery clamp, I was getting 12.1V; at the clamp, I was getting an accurate low voltage.

Physically, I couldn't see any corrosion.

I used sandpaper and a terminal post cleaner and got the expected voltage, hooked the charger up, and it took the flash.

Interesting, I know before I put the charger on, I wasn't getting 14v, but with it on, the gauge on the dash and my scan tool said 14v.
