Exclamation Short Passenger Rear 5.9L Cummins Block Coolant Hose?

Hi folks, it appears I have a coolant leak, and it's coming from the coolant hose wrapped in foil a few inches away from the turbo exhaust; it's pretty short, like 6" or so.

I'm leaving in a few days for a trip, so I'm happy I saw it dripping, but it pisses me off it has to leak now.

    1) What's this part called (or part number, 2007 5.9L/48RE) so I can find it online or at my local dealer?
    2) Is there a better aftermarket replacement?
    3) What does it go to?
    4) Does the 6.7L have this same design/problem?

    Thanks.

Short Passenger Rear 5.9L Cummins Block Coolant Hose?

Is it leaking from the rubber part of the hose, or is the metal connection corroded and leaking?

I’m not sure what this part is, but it looks like a short section of heater hose.

Maybe you could go to your local auto parts store, get a foot of hose/ new hose clamps, and cut it to size if it’s just the hose.

If it’s just the hose, replace it with a section of blue silicone hose.

The silicone will hold up better with the high temperature in that area.

    Yes, it's the hose.

I didn't think of silicone, but that'd work better than rubber.

Who makes silicone replacements for these?

You must measure the hose ID and call around your local area for a vendor.

@Geno's Garage also sells silicone hoses.
