    Popping While Turning?

Does anyone have issues with hearing a pooping turning or (at slow speeds) braking and hearing a loud pop in the cabin?

Ive had the suspension inspected multiple times, and no issues were found.

Could it be the frame mounts to the body?

    I'm lost at this point.

Retorque the track bar bolt at the frame is my .02.

I have had it happen a couple of times now.

Did they check the U-joints on the front hubs?

    Re: Popping While Turning?

I had that on my 2017, and the bracket where the track bar mounts to the frame was nearly broken loose.

I just started hearing it again.

I checked all the bolts, which are tight; I need to do more digging.

What I found helpful is to have someone turn the wheels while you are under the truck, watching and isolating where the sound is coming from.

I was shocked at how much the factory track bar flexes.

After welding the bracket back together and reinforcing it by adding a 1/8" plate to both sides, I added a Thuren track bar, and it has been great for about 15k miles.

What year is your truck? 19+ had issues with the cab mounts making noise.

My '20 makes popping noises when it's cold out (below 20 degrees), and I'm pretty sure it's the mounts.

Track bar bolt and front axle u-joints would also be another place to look.

    Re: Popping While Turning?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have a tick again; I talked to Thuren, and they said to tighten everything.

I replaced the track bar bolts and torqued them to 240 ft-lbs (Thuren said 215 - 250), but they are still ticking.

I think it may be the track bar drop bracket from my BDS lift.

So I ordered a new one from Flight Fabrication, which looked like the strongest one out there. We will see if that takes care of it.

It is hard to tell where the sound comes from, but it sounds loudest at the drop bracket.

Nothing is moving when it ticks, which is random, but it happens every time you turn the wheel, sometimes 1/4 turn, sometimes one complete turn.

Yes, mine was shot at 42,000 miles.

    Drivers side.

No more, free wheeling hubs from Spyntech with Warn hubs, so probably never wear out a front joint again.
