    Power Lock Troubleshooting?

I am restoring my 2nd Gen cab, which was gutted and reassembled.

My door lock switches do nothing when pushed down to the lock position but will unlock.

The windows work fine through the switches, just not the lock function.

If I use the key fob, I can lock and unlock it.

I assume it's a switch rather than a power issue, or the key remote would not lock the doors either.

Is there a way to test the switches?

They may have gotten wet while the truck was disassembled.

I opened the passenger side switch assembly, and everything looks okay internally.

You can monitor the switch state with a scan tool to see if it's responding to your input.

You will need a wiring diagram to troubleshoot and perform a switch bypass test.

Alldata DIY is a good subscription source for wiring diagrams and troubleshooting information.

If the switches have gotten wet, you will probably need to install a new switch panel.
