2014 RAM 3500 (Aisin) 3.73 4X4 Limited Crew Cab Long Bed DRW. Oil Bypass Filter, Fuel Filtration Kit, Cold Air Intake, City Diesel Actuator and 50 Gallon Aux Fuel Tank.
Mines done between 4500 to 8k.
I would rather pay for the oil changes with the additional stabilizer than dig into the bottom end or need a short block to build.

It sounds like I am not crazy with my oil changes, haha.
I can't afford to have my truck down because I haul with it when we get hay, so I would instead do overkill.
The 5th Gens have roller rockers.
This is the reason for the thinner oils.
The 4th Gens and older have flat tappets, so 15W-40.

My truck has never had anything but 5W40 T6 since I have owned it.
I live in Middle Tennessee.
We see temperatures ranging from -10F in the winter to over 100F in the summer.
If my truck is running, it's usually towing or hauling something.
Plenty of long-haul towing at high speeds in the summer heat.
T6 5W40 works great at every temperature range a person in the United States is likely to encounter.
I change my oil every 10k miles with 5W40 T6, and that's it.
You don't need to put any more thought into it than that.

I have a 2016 2500 and use it hard. I run T6 15W40. If it's -20 or colder my truck doesn't shut off so cold pourability isn't as big of a factor.
I do oil analysis and change my oil every 25,000. I sold my last RAM when it hit 565,000 and this one has 300,000 using this interval with good analysis supporting the 25k changes.

Not roller rockers but hydraulic lifters.
The roller part doesn't matter the 15w oil is supposedly too thick and will clog the oil orifice on the lifter.
Mine has been converted and is running jesel solid roller lifters 15-40 oil for me.
