Now that I make that comment, it almost looks like you have one long bump stop and one short bump stop in those pictures.

And somebody jacked up those brake lines a bit, putting them on those brackets like that.

I don't think they're of concern just noticed they've been bent around

Here is a picture of all four sides using the wide-angle camera to aid in any additional observations.

To your point of a full travel shock, is there something specific I should look into?

I have always trusted the information from this forum, and I would in a heartbeat over the people at 4WheelParts.

A couple of things of note.

Your driver-side bump stop has been replaced with a longer one, as it should have been; your passenger side has not and should be.

Your rear bump stops have been spaced appropriately.

It appears as though they used a generic shock rated for four to six inches of lift, which is slightly longer than necessary for a 4-in lift, which can tend to have the shock ride in the dirtiest portion of the shaft or even bottom out, pushing dirt into the seals of the end cap.

I also recommend a set of Bilstein.

Look for something with a boot on it.

They're a little ugly, but in your case, I think you'll benefit.

Do a set that fits your lift appropriately

I find it interesting that your caster adjusters appear so far out from one another that they're usually on the same indicator notch or very close to it.

Does the truck become slightly bound up/unpredictable, feeling on larger bumps?

It may be worth an alignment if so.

Looking online, it seems 24-285698 and 24-285674 are the correct model for the rear and front respectively. Is it a safe assumption that a 4" Pro Comp lift is a 4" lift all the way around and not a 3" in the rear and 4" in the front, for example?

I assume I don't need to do some sort of measurement to ensure the lift inches don't differ between front and back

I don't know about that specific lift.

Most level the truck, and the number refers to the front lift height.

It's probably 3.5-4" in the front and 1.5-2" in the rear, I had to guess.

I am guessing the best practice would be to find the exact lift instructions online (I think I've done it before) and buy an accompanying shock specific to the amount of lift the kit put on that end of the truck.

    Any thoughts on this?

Should I individually determine the front and back lift components installed or do 4" lift shocks all around?

Honestly, seems impossible to determine from this installation info:

Again, the front will be 3.5 -4", depending on the weight specific to your truck.

    The instructions say 4".

The rear looks like it's a coil spacer, so that you can measure that.

My guess for part numbers is:

    24-285674

    24-285681

The coil spacer measures to be 2.75".

Would we round that up to a 3-in shock?
