    Sign Of Bad Shocks?

I noticed this the other night, and the truck seems to bumper more than usual, seemingly taking longer to stop "bouncing" over bumps.

This is how both shocks in the rear look.

Is it a sign of failure?

It seems like fluid is leaking out, maybe?

The top seals have blown out, which has tossed out the fluid inside.

I haven't seen this before on Fox Shocks.

It makes sense that the shocks are out, resulting in the bottoming of the strut inside, causing the rougher ride.

Once the pressure has been released from a shock, the remaining oil will cavitate and create a rough ride.

    Yes, the shocks are shot.

Depending on wear and condition, rebuilding them may be more cost-effective than replacing them.

    Yep!

    Shocks need to be replaced.

    Seals are worn out.

    That sounds labor-intensive.

I wonder if there is some warranty on them.

    I don't think they're too old

They are not too bad to replace if a person is mechanically inclined.

If you take it to a shop, a good mechanic can easily replace it in an hour or less.

I can replace them quickly; I referred to "labor intensive" for the rebuild.

I've never heard of a rebuild before, but I bought them at 4WheelParts, so it should be in their system.

The front Fox shocks haven't had any issues lately.

Do you have any recommendations on rear shock brands if I need new ones?

I'm not sure I'd keep these same ones if they went bad so quickly.

Maybe it has to do with me pulling weight often?

Fox shocks come with a limited one-year warranty.

You can send them out for rebuilding.

See this video for more information and considerations before rebuilding.
