I have been under the truck to inspect the springs and U-bolts.

I would have to set aside a weekend to pull the axles and whatnot to check the other suggestions.

    Thanks

Try dropping the rear tire pressure into the 30 range and see how it feels.

Mine are picky, but I've got a ton of sidewall.

I wouldn't think it would be a huge deal at that tire size

    Re: Loose Back End?

I have had this same feeling with my 2013 for a few months now.

Everything in the rear is tight, and there is no movement.

Everything is new in the front end.

Alignment showed no thrust angle, but I still feel like the back end is kicking out on Accel.

I'm pretty much convinced its tires, or the rear limited slip is doing something funny.

Worn/soft bushings, urethane, rubber, etc., in the rear control arms, will allow the thrust angle to change dynamically.

It wouldn't necessarily show up on an alignment track.

I had that issue in the Camaro as well.

Oops, it appears you have leaf springs, not coils.

Still, damaged spring or shackle bushings will allow the same type of movement.

Have you checked the pin on the axle where the springs are bolted on?

I’m wondering if they broke off during the jackknife.

    Re: Loose Back End?

That pin is referred to as a tie bolt, at least in most circles.

That should have shown up on the alignment rack, and I would notice dog tracking (I’ve not known the rear end to move back into place when I’ve broken them).

It's hard to say from this distance.

    Re: Loose Back End?

I put a laser on my tires this weekend.

The result shows that the top of the tire is pushed out or vice versa.

However, the wheel does not wobble when turning.

    Thoughts on that.
