    I Don't Know ****!!!

    Very new to any forum, and I got a 2017 RAM 2500 6.7L.

    I've had it for a couple of years and got an MM3 tuner installed.

    Friday before last, the tranny went out and $6500.

    Here I am.

    Years before, I had a 2003 3500 with a 5.9L, and it tore the tranny up on that one too.

    I'm starting to think Dodge can't build a tranny to handle the torque coming from the Cummins.

    Anyway, I'm sure I will be reaching out and asking stupid questions.

    The Cummins puts out a lot of power, it's the right foots fault LOL.

    That is a known fact, my friend. Ram trannys are barely adequate. My 01 5.9 has had a couple of manual tranny rebuilds, t case rebuilds. Aisin is better, for sure, but still mostly just adequate. Everything from the manufacturer is a compromise. Gone are the days of bulletproof reliability for anything. All made to a price point with planned obsolescence.

    2021 Ram 3500 DRW, H.O., bypass oil filtration, bypass coolant filtration, S&B CAI, 4:10’s
    2wd low loc kit.
    Reacquired 2001 3500, 5.9 nv4500, dually cab and chassis, 5” straight pipe, edge juice w/attitude. Otherwise all stock…..for now.
