    5th Gen Fuel Line Insulation?

I am getting ready to do studs on my '19 6.7L and am seeing a foam insulating block over all my fuel injector lines.

The problem is that it is molded underneath the CCV drain line that drains back into the block.

Does this do anything useful, or can I cut it out and toss it?

All it does is muffle out the injector sound.

    Injector sound?

    On a diesel?

That's what they're worried about? LOL.

    It's gone.

I guess they don’t want a diesel to sound like a diesel, LOL.

They are on the 4th, Gens also, and when I did my grid heater delete, I didn't put it back; I could not hear any difference.

    5th Gen Fuel Line Insulation?

Does anyone know if the engine has to be TDC for any of this process?

Do I have to bar it over to release pressure off the valve rockers during removal/install?

Mine's a 5th gen, so it's got the hydro rockers that dont need adjusting.

I was wondering if the engine still needs to be turned over to relieve valve spring pressure on the rockers when they are taken on/off.

Didn't look like it in the video.

I don't have a barring tool, and I can't reach the harmonic balancer bolts b/c of my steering stabilizer brace.
