Thread: Intake Horn With Factory Dual Alternators?

Intake Horn With Factory Dual Alternators?

I have been searching the web for two days now to find the answer to my question.

I’m installing a grid heater delete plate and an aftermarket intake horn with a heating element integrated.

My goal is to eliminate the possibility of losing the grid heater nut in the engine.

I have a 4th Gen with factory dual alternators. Will I have a fitment issue with a pusher-style horn?

I have read that Bank Horn will not fit, so I am concerned about others.

My truck is deleted and tuned by DRD.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The pusher style intake looks to be low profile, but I am not able to verify fitment with dual alternators. I would contact Pusher via their website to confirm.

Re: Intake Horn With Factory Dual Alternators?

    Thanks for the reply.

It seems to be a tough answer to find.

The issue is not height but somewhat front to back.

The back of the alternator is very close to the stock horn.

Any increase in diameter will collide with it.

I purchased a cheap pusher-style knockoff last night to test fit. I can return it if need be.

I will follow up if anyone has this question in the future.

I had a Banks horn on my 22 with dual alts.

    It fits.
