New Member - Looking For Some Info?

Hello, I purchased a 2018 RAM 3500 Aisin transmission, 280k miles, but the engine has 60k miles.

I am wanting to get a 2nd Gen swap 464/83/.90 turbo.

I'm unsure if a stock Aisin with that many miles is a good idea.

I’m not planning on making it a race truck; I want a 2nd Gen swap, stock fuel, and nothing more.

    Any advice?

    Welcome to the family, bud!

For stock fuel, the turbo you suggested is the one I would go with.

You flow a lot more air, so to compensate for that, you need more fuel.

Stock injectors will adjust the duration of the 64mm 2nd Gen.

For the Aisin, it would be good for you to seek out the Plus membership.

It's free, and you can obtain the best platform to run on A Cummins.

The Aisin is stronger than the 68RFE, but I don't know what line pressures can be applied to the valve body and stock input shaft.

    Thanks for the reply.

The truck already has a FASS system installed, but I'm unsure if it's just a water separator or a pump to help add more fuel.

I assume I need custom tuning for the 2nd Gen swap.

I don't know much about tuning and the ideal platform for this setup.

    Welcome!

That’s a lot of miles on any transmission.

Hopefully, the previous owner treated it well and performed the required maintenance.

I would keep any performance upgrades under +90 HP.

Replace the fluid every 30,000 miles or 24 months with a new filter every second change.

If you have a FASS system, it's the pump, filter, and water separator.

Which is a great thing to have for the swap.

I strongly suggest the MM3 over anything else.

You get help from most of us here running that platform and the best tech support MM3 Power in the industry.

You won't regret it, that I can promise you.

Where would be the place to order an MM3?

I want to get the correct one.

Also, will the MM3 be pre-loaded with the tune I need?
