    Re: Aftermarket Radiator?

I have been running the Mishimoto radiator for almost two years, and I feel it is worth it.

The truck does stay cooler overall.

Most noticeable in the summer is going over a mountain pass with my camper.

I can be as hard as I want on her and I can not tell you the last time I saw the ECT at 200 degrees.

It is pricey, yes, but worth it, in my experience.

    Plus, it looks cool.

    That's good to know.

I don't have time for headaches.

My truck will be taking the long haul, most likely this summer, from Alaska to the Lower 48, and I will get a camper.

If you are heading to the Idaho/Washington area and have the time be sure to cut across Canada on highway 1 to Revelstoke National Park then take highway 95 and drop down into Coeur d’Alene ID. Some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen.

    Re: Aftermarket Radiator?

I second the recommendation for the XDP.

My stock radiator developed a leak around 150K.

I prefer to use what I consider the best available parts when I need to replace something on my truck, so I went with Mishimoto.

I could only get the Mishimoto to last about 10 thousand miles before it started leaking.

After the 3rd one started leaking in the same spot (passenger side, lower, motor side), I requested a full refund.

I went with the XDP, and at 455K miles now, I haven't had any further issues.

I have no bad feelings toward Mishimoto; I have other parts from them with no issues.

Their lifetime warranty is legit, with three free replacements plus a full refund; it is customer service you don't often find!

Thank you for the information on the XDP radiator.

I hope this Mishimoto holds up, but I will consider the XDP if it doesn't.
