Aftermarket Radiator?

Are there any benefits of going with an aftermarket all-aluminum radiator like the Mishimoto?

The truck is a 12 with a 79k stock radiator, is not leaking, and is in good working order.

The only reason Im considering the radiator is that I have everything off: fan, shroud, belts, pulleys, coolant, water pump, tstat, and have new hoses going on as well; just that time, I figure I'm just a few bolts from dropping a new one in.

The Mishimoto is pricey and shipped to my door.

It's painful to think about, but they have a lifetime warranty, and being all aluminum, I feel I wouldn't have to worry about it in the future.

Does anyone have any experience with the Mishimoto radiator or any other brand that's all aluminum?

I have contemplated their whole cooling kit for the past two years.

The rad probably will help reduce the temperature as it's thicker and more expansive.

I am not sure what temps it will precisely reduce.

The intercooler is a big thing you'll notice.

You'll see a reduction in boost pressure.

Less restriction, which results in more flow, will help with a more significant intake of horn and boost tubes.

I am going off-topic here, LOL; I was wrong.

If you do get the rad, I would like some feedback down the road.

I have some Banks boost tubes really could have gotten away with stock, on the 12 there isn't a lot of restriction.

I didnt know until I pulled the stock ones out.

I have gdp intake horn, gdp grid heater , steed manifold with 364.5 and I run a 190 tstat for the last 6 years.

Don't have coolant issues it's just one of those things I can literally put a new one in and be done if the all aluminum holds up like they have for me in other vehicles in the past .

Everything is open just a few bolts and radiator is out.

The OEM will fail one day because of the plastic end tanks so it's a matter of spending money now or later.

My truck has been down for months now so not like it's going to hurt me waiting a few more days if I do pull the trigger it's just a good chunk of change for radiator.

I say toss the new one on.

The truck is already down, and you'll avoid the stock end caps blowing out down the road.

Pricey, but a long-distance tow bill could be more, you know.

Well, the old one is out of a new one on the way.

It is a very tight fit.

I don't see it being possible unless the fan and shroud are out.

At least the 2010-2012 trucks.

Surprisingly, the radiator was very dirty, I will be sure to rinse the new one out periodically moving forward.

I think the new one has a new way to bolt up the new radiator but uses the exact location for bolting up.

It's somewhat confusing what I said, but I think the new one is wider, which would throw the OE bolt location off a tad bit.

The new one will come with everything needed for installation.

This also could have been for my 3rd Gen era.

They had way more crimping on the sides to prevent leaks.

It also talks about it in the first half of the description.

Nothing about this unit I saw was cheap, and it saved me a ton of money.

I don't remember I read so many post to try to collect reviews.

I pulled the trigger on the all aluminum one ,just don't want to have to go back in there .

I'm not going to lie; I almost pulled the trigger on an intercooler. LOL, but I just didn't want to deal with taking even more stuff apart.
