5 Inch Downpipe To 4 Inch Exhaust?

As the title suggests, I wonder if this is a good idea and if anyone has done something like that.

I can not find a 4-inch downpipe anywhere, but I can get a 5-inch.

I need to stick with the 4-inch because my BD Diesel exhaust break is for a 4-inch system.

I need to replace my downpipe because the flex joint went bad.

Currently, I have a 6-inch section of straight pipe just welded in there to replace/repair the flex joint.

I'm looking for something more permanent and more stout.

What do you guys think?
