Thread: G56 Swap Codes - B23B6 AUTOSTICK?

    G56 Swap Codes - B23B6 AUTOSTICK?

    I just completed a G56 Swap.

Afterward, I had an ABS light and a Traction control light.

Codes were C2206 (Vehicle Configuration Mismatch) and U0101 (Lost Communication with TCM).

Reading other forums, I found that I needed to do an ABS Initialization with ALFAOBD.

I did so, and it removed the codes.

Shortly after I started driving again, the Traction Control Light returned, and now the code is B23B6 AUTOSTICK (ERS) SWITCH (COLUMN SHIFT).

Any help getting this fixed with ALFAOBD would be much appreciated.

Is the pig tail switch for the swap connected properly?

    See attached code descriptions attached.

The only advice I have for an AlfaOBD fix is to see if there’s an option to turn off or disable the Autostick ERS.

The pigtail for the reverse lights?

I have not connected that one yet.

    The neutral safety switch.

I started digging deep into this kit.

You could call them, and 100% they will have an answer if the troubleshooting info Bob supplied doesn't fix it.

Cody, I believe, is the owner.

    Re: G56 Swap Codes - B23B6 AUTOSTICK?

I found the ERS section, and it’s already turned off.

I also didn’t think about the fact that in the abs module, I have a C0051 code, Steering Wheel Position Sensor - Signal Bias Level Out Of Range / Zero Adjustment; when I clear that code, it goes away, but I don’t see anything in the ABS module that is related to that.

I can attach the troubleshooting information for the C0051 trouble code.

Do you know which one you have?

    I found five codes: C0051-22, -2F, -28, -4,9, and -62.

    Re: G56 Swap Codes - B23B6 AUTOSTICK?

    I finally got it fixed.

So I went into ALFAobd and read the SCCM, which said the Steering Angle Sensor was reading 380 degrees with everything straight.

I’m not sure why that was since I never removed the steering wheel or clock spring when doing the swap, and I also did the ABS initialization, which should have reset it, so that was weird.

I removed the steering wheel and clock spring; behind the clock spring is a small gear wheel at the 7 o’clock position.

I kept spinning that until the SAS reflected it was 3 degrees since the tolerance is below 15 degrees.

I reassembled everything, cleared the code, and took it for a drive.

There is no more Traction control light, and the cruise control is functioning again.
