Thread: 6.7L CM2100?

    6.7L CM2100?

    Hi, everyone.

I’m in the process of swapping a 6.7L into my 2nd Gen, and I’ve hit a wall with the ECM.

I have a CM2100 (I was told it was good) Firepunk standalone harness.

I have most sensors hooked up to a 12V power supply to the ECM, and I’m trying to connect to it with my V2 with the EFI scan and tune program, but I keep getting no vehicle detected.

Is it because I don’t have the TIPM, and the skin stops it?

And if so, how do I get around it?

Or is my ECM just a boat anchor?

I had EFI for a brief moment, but I don't have any info to help out with.

I would contact the current tuner to help see why it does not want to communicate with the ECM.

The TIPM is the gateway for the ECM.

Are you connecting the V2 directly to the ECM CAN C +/-, and are all the powers and grounds to the ECM connected?

    Re: 6.7L CM2100?

Unless they’re in another power or ground I’m missing, everything is connected.

    Complete standalone harness C1 & C2.

V2 plugs right into the OBD2 port.

Power and ground on the main leads. 12v to the start/run wire.

    Looks like battery voltage on C2 pins 45, 49, 50 & 60 and grounds on C2 pins 47, 48 & 57.

    I will double-check this.

    Thank you!

I’m starting to think the ECM is junk.

    Re: 6.7L CM2100?

All pins have power and ground.

When I try to flash, i keep getting the same error message: ignition switched off pin 45 on C2 has 12v, which is the start/run.

You can’t communicate with a scan tool either, correct?
