TCM Write Fail - Error 10599?

While awaiting a reply from the MM3 help desk, has anyone seen this error and found the cause?

ECM tune installed fine, then when selecting TCM download, the system looks like it loads to 100% then yields "Write TCM request failed!

    Error 10599".

    Battery charger in place.

No TCM codes are stored, and I tried twice.

What could possibly be causing this, even with a charger hooked up, if there is any bit of corrosion built up in the terminal clamp and or other accessories wires, this will give weak voltage while doing the process.

Thus, potentially giving a error to successfully completing the process.

Verify both batteries are good, and don't rely on the voltage on the dash.

Might be a shot in the dark.

I have not seen this error code before, so I did a forum search, but no luck there either.

I see you have a call into MM3 Power

Also, since you have a 2008 with a separate transmission module from the ECM, DRD may be able to give technical support if needed.

    Please keep us posted.

    Great ideas!!

How dare you suggest my Dodge has corrosion!

Batteries failed the test even though they say INTERSTATE LOL, replaced, cleaned connections, and sadly, the same result of no bueno loading TCM file.

I know you said there are no trouble codes in the TCM.

Just thinking if you are only looking for codes with the MM3, you may need to do a deeper scan with a higher-level scanner.

I second Bob; getting a higher-level scanner might reveal more.

You could also try taking the trans harness plug out of the PCM and putting some dielectric grease in there.

Another idea is to flash back to stock and then flash the tune.

I know how you feel; it sucks having weird problems no one else gets!

    Great idea!

I tried that this morning, cleared a few body codes, and it is still a go; returned ECM to the stock file and reloaded tunes.

Upon attempting TCM file write after it gets to 100%, the same error message.

The answer I got from MM3 support is not 100% certain.

They looked in previous (2) customer emails on this code, and it appears the vehicle owners had a Dodge dealer load the OE file in the ECM with the OE level Wi-Tech, then load the tunes file.

Then they got no further customer replies, so I'm unsure if it was a flash only or if ECM needed replacing.

    Ughhhh fun times.

Thanks for the update; hopefully, just a flash will work.

    Fingers crossed.
