I'm not for anti sieze, have you ever seen any off that mess that got pulled into the fuel system and caught in the next filter?

All things considered the threads are on the unfiltered side of the filter. The filtered fuel flows "up" through the center hole. Im sure I'll get flamed for this but, This is why some don't prefill the filter because that it's putting unfiltered fuel on the "clean side" of the filter. Anti- seize might not be a bad idea. Something to think about.

I personally like the idea of a FASS. Puts em both in one nice easy to git to place.
You’re absolutely correct about the flow of the fuel through the filter from outside to inside.
The instructions also specifically show on the side of the filter itself to NOT pre-fill it.
We’re talking microns here so pre-filling it runs a big risk of running contaminants through a 25,000 PSI fuel system.
The only thing that would be flamed would be your injectors.![]()

What's wrong with the stock 2 filter setup? It is not efficient enough? Haven't had to do fuel filters yet on our 18 just curious. Thanks.

I have a 2012 with only 1 filter from the factory so can't comment directly regarding your newer truck, but as I understand it, the CAT filter is able to filter the fuel to a much greater extent. Factory fuel filter at 7 microns and CAT filter at 2 microns. Here's some information about the filters:

I think factory filter calls for 3 microns.
The front filter or the one at the engine is supposed to be 3 microns and the one under the bed 6 microns.
I could be completely wrong about that but Mopar calls for 3 microns or less.
The Fleetguard says it’s 2 microns.
When I owned a big truck, carrying spare cat filters was a necessity.
They work...they work very well.
You might find yourself on the side of the road.

According to WIX the newer trucks with two filters the spin on is 6 micron and the cartridge filter is 2 micron.
Haven't changed mine yet, I think the OM calls for the first change around 20K or if your light comes on.
