New to this! 06 Cummins mega cab with over 1100 hp

Hi my names nicholas candler! I’m from St. Joseph mo! I drive a 2006 dodge Cummins mega cab 2500! It’s got tons of mods and this is only my second diesel truck! So I’m pretty new to the scene! I love the power these Cummins make! I however do have a problem! It makes a bad knocking noise sounds like it’s almost towards the fly wheel. It don’t always do it though and it’s throwing codes p0148 p0243 and p0633! It sometimes cuts out and looses power and idles funny. It’s got efi live with the 5 tunes and a switch compound turbos a FASS 150 lift pump dual CP3 pump by industrial injection and 250hp over injectors from alligator performance! It’s got a fully built transmission. I’ve herd it’s called a dry knock but I can’t figure out what it is! Please help! And how do I upload pictures on here?

Hmm how long have you had the truck? Did you do the mods or did someone else? It sounds like it may be a tuning issue possibly. Here are some of the possible causes.

P0633 Immobilizer Key Not Programmed – ECM/PCM

Causes for this code may include: Weak immobilizer key battery Immobilizer key malfunction Immobilizer key replaced without being programmed ECM/PCM programming error ECM/PCM swapped between vehicles and/or replaced without being properly programmed ECM/PCM failure


P0243 Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A Malfunction

Potential causes for this code to set are: Open in the control circuit (ground circuit) between the wastegate/boost pressure control solenoid A and the PCM Open in the power supply circuit between the wastegate/boost pressure control solenoid A and the PCM Short to ground in the power supply circuit to the wastegate/boost pressure control solenoid A Wastegate/boost pressure control solenoid A faulty Possibly a PCM has failed (highly unlikely)


P0148 Fuel Delivery Error

Potential causes for this code to set are: High pressure fuel system leak Defective fuel pressure sensor Faulty fuel control actuator Open or shorted high pressure fuel supply system wiring and/or connectors Bad fuel pump Malfunctioning fuel pump or PCM power supply relay PCM or PCM programming error

The guy I bought it from did all the mods. I feel like it might be a injector but it sometimes starts the knocking when I put it in gear. The lights will dim sometimes and sometimes it’s sluggish and cuts out really bad. It sometimes runs great though! I bought 2 new filters for my FASS pump but haven’t installed them yet! Idk what to do. The code is so vague idk where to start plus I’m new to diesels! It’s got a cts2 programmer that shows this codes! Where do I start man? I really appreciate your help
