Door Locks Intermittently Working

Hello all, I have a 2017 ram 2500 Laramie.

My truck is deleted with DRD tunes.

Recently, I've been experiencing issues with my door locks.

The locks work with the dedicated lock/unlock button on the drivers side, but only while the truck is running.

The key fob will only unlock the drivers door, nothing else.

Once unlocked, the Key fob will not lock the previously unlocked drivers door.

Once the door is open, still no response from the dedicated buttons until the truck is running.

The lights flash as if the truck is accepting the signal from the key fob but never unlock the doors.

I feel like this issue started once I used my MM3 tuner to recalibrate my speedometer, but it could simply be bad timing.

I've read around on other forums where others have experience similar issues but no one has posted any definitive reasons for the issues or how to solve them.

It is still under warranty but not exactly sure how the dealership handles warranty work with the deleted trucks.

If the computer needs an update, should I be concerned about the update, will it affect the tunes?

IMO your door lock issue is unrelated to the tune.

I would take advantage of the factory warranty, they will most likely flash the BCM (Body Control Module).

This will not affect your tune.

Good answer Bob as I agree with you for the most part as he may just need a new key.

Either way it all ties together.

4th Gen Chuck, bcm updates won't affect your tuning and if your ecm was ever flashed all you have to do is load your tuning like you did the first time, easy as that.

Agree with the previous statements^^^^ also have you tried changing your key fob battery?

I don’t believe it’s the key fob.

Both of my fobs are able to unlock the drivers door and remote start.

But once the door is open, the dedicated buttons will not work until the truck is running.

Current update: I flashed the truck back to stock and still had issues.

Reflashed the tunes and went into the lock setting through the touch screen on the radio.

I changed it from unlocking the drivers door on the first click to all doors, the issue has sense resolved.

Not sure exactly what’s going on.

I’ll try and get into a dealership soon for warranty repairs.
