See if its legal in your state, and you get to wash the passenger side window door an body more often, and loud as in worse then stacks in the box
Well my brother has an 8" mbrp stack in the bed of his and its not bad..... Truck hardly ever gets washed anyways.....
hood stacks are awesome, only downside is the law. check first.
Any issues w rain or anything?
honestly no, i have an 8" bed stack miter cut. the rain does get in cuz its basically a bucket, but the only real downside is when you start it after it rains the sooty water blows all over ur truck. it washes off easily tho. and rain doesnt get in when its running.
I got some custom canvas covers made for my stacks an now dont have problem with rain in stacks. and yea check laws, don't see to many around here with hood stacks unless they on a trailer.
I would never do a hood stack, once you roll a little it covers the windshield. Plus it is illegal in a lot of states. stacks in general are now illegal in NJ

Hood stacks are very sexy on the right truck... but not worth all the hassle involved
