I have a 2018 Ram 2500 w/ 6.7. The past few days I've been getting a "service air filter" message whenever I accelerate hard, as in entering the freeway. Filter is like new. Truck is stock with a little over 30k miles. No DTC's. Any ideas?

Welcome friend!! When’s the last time you changed the filter?

The filter is less than 6 months old. Still looks new
Check the flapper door in front of the air box to see if it’s working correctly. Sounds like it might not be opening up all the way or not at all when you accelerate hard. Just trying to throw some ideas out.

Thanks. It threw a code today with the message. P227F, I can't find this code anywhere
Also check the tube out of filter box that goes back into passenger fender area, known to breakdown and collapse into itself.

Mine would do this under hard throttle. Changing the filter (paper filter) solved it for me. If you have air compressor maybe clean yours up a bit more along with other ideas mentioned above

RAM DTC P227F
Make:
RAM
Code:
P227F
Definition:
Air Flow Restriction-Air Leak Between Air Filter And MAF
Description:
This monitor detects when the Air Filter is starting to become restricted and should be serviced before the restriction is severe enough to cause damage to other engine components. The monitor will not set the Malfunction Indicator Lamp, but will display “Service Air Filter” in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and will set this DTC active when there is a moderate reduction in air flow coming from the airbox. The EVIC message will be erased and the DTC will change to stored when the PCM is powered down. The DTC will only show active and the EVIC message will only be displayed during the drive cycle if the monitor runs and fails. The vehicle will have to be driven to properly determine DTC status.
Cause:
* RESTRICTED AIR FILTER
* DEBRIS BLOCKING THE AIRBOX INTAKE HOSE IN THE FENDER
* INTAKE AIR DIVERTER (IAD) VALVE BLOCKED BY DEBRIS OR LINKAGE BROKEN
* DIRT OR DEBRIS ON MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR
* INLET AIR TEMPERATURE-PRESSURE (TBAP) SENSOR

The tube that connects to your airbox is probably came loose.
I'd check that connection immediately to ensure you're not sucking in dirt/debris into the turbo/engine.
