    Best Tune for 6.7L Cummins

    Good evening all.

I just joined the forum and wanted to get some info before moving to a lifetime membership.

There are lots of discussions about HPP versus Anarchy versus DRD, and I wanted to get some feedback on if the $100 membership fee is worth it even if I don't buy a tune from DRD.

I know this is a forum facilitated by DRD, but

I'm hoping for some honest feedback.

    Thank you.

It is rare to see someone post about becoming LPM and have any regrets or are unhappy with the decision.

If your mindset is it gets you access to vendors you are missing the bigger picture.

Every vendor here I have done business with has been top notch and the deals are awesome but you also have access to a great community of some of the best people you will ever come across.

There is always someone knowledgeable about issues that will not hesitate to help or guide you to someone that can.

I am by no means rich and the cost of LPM for me was a consideration but in retrospect it was the best $$$ I have spent.

The Mods here work their tails off keeping the forums free from the usual garbage you find in other forums.

For me it is an honor to be part of what goes on here and be one of many great people you find here.

Thank you that is good information.

I wasn't aware of all the various vendors and other perks. I read the benefits of membership, but I guess I missed that piece (I guess days without sleep will do that).

I more or less found this when I tried to contact DRD about tunes, and they said I had to come here first. So for me, I thought it was a cost of entry into getting DRD tunes and not much more. That's why I was asking how good the DRD tunes were compared to others, because I wasn't sure I should become a member here if I didn't go with a DRD tune. I will keep all that in mind as we "vote" with our $, and today's world needs some common sense input at the moment

All that said, I'm still trying to figure out best tunes and best platform. EZ Lynk seems to be next gen technology, but I don't know what set of tunes would be best to get. That's where I could use some insights. I tuned my 07.5 with an H&S, and it ran like a scalded dog.

However, with all the big bro crap going down, I didn't know who would be good to use for an off-road/race tune where I can maximize my mpg.

    Thank you.

    Common sense abounds here.

That's what makes this group such great people.

The craziness going on has lead to the LPM requirement. As for DRD vs others.

You can either do business with a man of deep faith who has a record of great customer service and caring about his customers or you can take your chances on the internet.

Re: Best Tune for 6.7L Cummins

My Story for whats its worth.

I had shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago and I have been sidelined in a sling.

My wife had been taking me to PT and she would sit in it while running for about an hour 3 days a week.

Well not long after the truck threw a DPF 80% percent full code and it was noticable down on power.

I am not a newbie to this happening to others so I took it out on the highway and I did a good job of burning it off I thought.

To make sure I took it to the dealership and they looked at and and forced it into a Regen and everything checked out.

The service guy said you know, "I can take care of that issue for you". He had a side business deleting trucks. One guy even showed up while I was talking to him. I was not happy with some of the answers to my questions so I told him I would think about it.

I had a 2008 that I worked on and I used a Smarty Jr. It worked out well, but now I have a 18 with an Aisin so I had not really thought about it but the MPGs are not good. I am glade the price of fuel is low, but it got me thinking about it so I started doing my research because I had plenty of free time to do so.

I did a simple search online and this forum came up. I did a simple search and it did not take long to learm about Ray and the MM3.

I did not even know that Smarty had created new tuners. I thought they were out of business. That's how out of the loop I had become and everyone on YouTube seemed to be using the EFI LIve and a tuner in Canada.

Everyone here held Ray in very Hi regards. I learned he is a brother in Christ and that immediately moved him to the top of the prospect list.

God takes care of me that way. I joined here and got into their website and read everything twice. I reached out this past Sunday and DRD responded to me within 30 min. He answered every question I had and I ordered from them Monday morning.

I have not spoken to Ray yet and from what I read I should not have to but I have been very happy so far. You can just tell when you are dealing with people who are honest.

Go to there website and it reads differently than anyone else. It cuts through the bull and gives you pretty much everything you need to make a decision.

Ask questions. Everyone here is willing to help from what I have experienced.

    Good Luck
