bully dog triple dog power pup

I need some help bought a used bully dog triple dog power pup and it is vin locked I feel like an idiot for not looking into it before but got it for a real good price and was guaranteed the tune was pulled from the original truck. So after much messing around trying to figure it out( pretty new to this stuff) I called.bully dog and they told.me.pretty much there was not much they could do I would have to contact the original owner and get him to pull the tune or.they would.reset for $450 is what the lady told me and I don't have the money or believe it is worth resetting for.$450 when they are on clearance on their own website for less than that for a new one???? Can anyone help me.out please it.won't even let.me.update it or anything

I ran into a Bully Dog GT lastnight that was VIN locked. A buddy of mine bought it for his truck and they ask him $265 to default and unlock the tuner. Amazon has it on sale for $325. At one time they were unlocking them for $100 but claim people were installing the tunes on many vehicles for $100 and not buying the tuners. I run a GT with a crazy larry tune on it and like it pretty well. EFI live is nice also.
