    Attach away!

    I'm all ears!

Just off how it's blocking just one sensor and not both.

The attached is from Mopar Tech Authority; see the second item under System Fault on the last page.

To answer your question on why it is blocking one sensor and not both.

I don't know the orientation of the RF antenna in the RF Hub, but it's possible something in the tint is blocking the signal to just that wheel.

If I remember correctly, the other sensors were intermittent at some point.

Get AlfaOBD, and you can literally turn the system off and be done with it.

It's nice to know tire pressure, and I appreciate this system.

Do you have the instructions for turning off the tpms and which obd plug is best used with AlfaOBD.

    I have a 2012 2500

    Thank you .

I would recommend the OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth adapter. I don’t see any option to turn the TPMS off in the RFH, but you may be able to go to the “Car configuration change” menu in the body control module and tell it the tire pressure system is not present.

Hopefully someone who has done this successfully wil chime in.

Thank you for the reply .
I got a error message on Tuesday check
    Tire Pressure System .

It went away after driving for awhile, only thing I can think of is the batteries in my sensors are starting to go out , what was odd about it is that all of my tires were reading properly.

Rather than dealing with this tpms system if more is wrong than my sensors it can be gone I won't miss it , If it can be turned off .

Only other choices are new sensors and tires but that's a next spring issue .

But I will grab that OBD link and purchase the AlfaOBD it will be good to have

Agree, good plan to start gathering the information now. I replaced all six of my original sensors along with new tires this last spring. The sensors were on national backorder, so it took two months to receive them. From what I have read the TPMS sensors have a 5-12 Year Life expectancy, 7 years on average.

Did you already get the software? On android phone or Windows PC?

    I bought this unit:
OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for iPhone, Android, and Windows

Get it paired via bluetooth to your phone or laptop.

Your 2012 is the same as my 2010. Go into the right model year, go into body ECU then to settings. Carful, very powerful tool, watch what you do.

Also, the tire pressure stuff may be in the RF Hub section. While your in there, pull your 4 digit PIN code, need to program new FOBS or imobilizer keys?
Hey, turn on your alarm if you only have keyless entry, its free. In body ECU, go into user settings of vehicle options (memory is foggy) and them look for VTA for vehicle theft alert. You can interogate it to see whwere its set now, if its off, turn it on. Now a red light appears int he dash, it may stay on looking for a hood closed switch and you may not have it, so see the security options and look for security switch, then in the menu click on "knockout" and set it. You knock it out of the system so its not looking for the hood switch, (((BOOOOOM)))) you got a free factroy alarm. Do you have a factory brake controller? (I have a spare for sale fots 09-12) if you dont, you can add it and turn it on in the body ECU to show up on EVIC, same goes for bluetooth for your phone (radio need phone button)

In RF hub, you can change pressure threshold, turn the entire system off all together. I replaced all 4 of my sensors, wasnt too spendy, they live about 10 yrs and start dying. Programming the new sensors (made by Schrader), just put them in and drive, that is it, no special procedure, programs automatically.

I answered your question, and you only have dying sensor batteries, its not a bad system to have. I like mine. But you can turn it off, then turn it back on later.

Good price, next time you have tires installed, pop them in.
