Should I Upgrade The Exhaust Manifold With New VGT Turbo?

So I am upgrading my turbo to the turbo time stage 2 dominator and the city diesel actuator.

My 2015 is fully tuned with ARP 625 head studs, FASS 165, and Fleece CP3.

So since I will be in there with the turbo, do I gain anything by changing the exhaust manifold simultaneously?

    Thanks for the advice.

Depending on what manifold you choose, some will produce higher exhaust flow than others.

With that being said, Steed speed is, IMO, in proven statistics to back their product, the tip of the spear, but it comes with a price.

My 2nd Gen swap came with a 3-piece BD manifold, which is much better than stock.

After time on the stock manifold, they are prone after so many years\heat cycles to develop hairline fractures in or near one of the exhaust ports.

Just research what fits your budget and will benefit your build down the road to meet those goals.

    Buy once, not twice!

@DDP, which is a vendor at our hands, can help you with product questions as well with great pricing.

You will see good improvement getting any aftermarket exhaust manifold vs. the stock one.

    Both heat and airflow improvements.

I just went down this road. I went with a Calibrated Power turbo and BD exhaust manifold.

Steed is the best, but good luck getting one.

I think they are still on a 3-plus month wait time.

When I was looking, it was closer to 6.

If you are doing a new turbo, get a new exhaust manifold, and you won't be sorry about it.

If you have the wait time get the Steed speed.

If you are worried about Dyno numbers, get the Steed.

If you want to make better power than stock, get whatever (BD).

    - Happy to be on the food chain at all.
