Found some 5W-40 Shell Rotella oil in my storage.
It's been there for nine months.
Is it still ok to use on a new truck?
What's storage life?
Thanks.

Most oils have a shelf life of 5+ years; 9 months shouldn't be a problem.
It's good to go.
Maybe shake up the jug before you pour it into the engine in case the additive package sinks to the bottom from sitting.
I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it.
Me too!

If shelf life is a thing with oil, boy am I in trouble.
The only thing I look for is that it meets the vehicle's spec.

Houston, TX, here.
First come, first serve.
It would be expensive oil from Tennessee.
