Tuner Issue - H&S Mini Maxx?

Hey you all; I hope that everyone is doing well.

I have a few questions for anyone willing to help answer them.

First, I recently bought a 2012 RAM 3500 MegaCab with a 6" lift and Falken 37s with 150,000 miles.

After purchasing, I realized a tuner was in the center console.

It is a H&S MiniMaxx.

I tried to plug it in, but it would not work because some of the HDMI connections were broken and missing.

I noticed that the last tune was set to the street 150hp tune.

This pretty much pisses me off because I believe that is why my truck is in the shop right now to get a new head gasket and Xotic head studs.

After all, they were not installed previously.

I want to get an MM3 tuner and tunes from DRD, but I wonder if it will be an issue not being able to retrieve the stock tunes or to install the new tunes without resetting to stock before installing the MM3 tuner.

I am new to diesels, so everything is new to me.

Although this forum is like a firehose to the face of a new guy in this world, I appreciate the education I have received up to this point.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

With DRD, they will have a stock file to throw at her.

That will erase anything previously installed on the ECM.

Then you will do the custom file, and that's it.

Just make sure you have a charger on the battery before flashing.

This will avoid a corrupt transfer of data sent over for everything to work as it should.

Feel free to ask as many questions as needed.

Good call ditching H&S; they are outdated with no support.
