MM3 Tuner - PCM Update - How To?

Since you had low battery voltage followed by the sluggishness I think it would be worthwhile to reload your tuning. See the steps below.

First make sure your batteries are fully charged and connect a battery tender/charger to the driver side battery. Battery voltage must not fall below 12.6 Volts while flashing.


Key or push button in the “run” position do not start engine (keep foot off brake).


Follow the screen shots below, from the gage screen touch the screen, select Main Menu, then select Program Custom File To ECM. (No need to return to stock).


Allow the MM3 to write the tune and follow any screen prompts.

This popped up but before I started anything, I checked my voltage and it was at 14v and yes, the charger is on there….. so do I proceed or take her on a good run ?

Not sure where you are getting the 14V reading from? You need to measure at the battery with a multimeter. Do not try to flash your tune if the battery voltage is below 12.6 Volts DC.

I got it off the dash reading, sorry, I’m a girl LOL….
I will ask the hubby if he has multimeter and get back to you.

Please don't be sorry, there are plenty of guys that have the same issues and questions. Hopefully you can find a meter to measure the actual battery voltage on both batteries. Just don't want to take a chance flashing if the batteries are low. Taking the truck for a run will charge the batteries if the charging system is working correctly, battery connections are okay and the batteries are able to take a charge. How long has the battery charger been connected to the truck?

Also what is the amperage rating of the charger, 1Amp, 2A, 3A……..10A etc
