    Rear Rotor Replacement?

So, the piston in my caliper broke, wedged the brake pad between the rotor and the caliper bracket.

I need to get my truck up and running quickly for a job, so I'm wondering if I can replace the piston and the brake pads and deal with the rotor another day?

I've never replaced the piston assembly, so I'm sure I will need a brake flush as well.

Is the rotor completely gone and needs to be replaced, or can I get away with using it for a couple of days?

Just for the heck of it, I threw in a picture of the piston.

Just replace the whole caliber instead of replacing just the pistons.

    The rotor looks rough.

I wouldn’t run new brakes on that.

If you do, you must replace the brake pads again because that rotor will chew and spit them out.

Are you hauling anything using this rotor in the next few days?
