    2018 RAM 3500 G56 Clutch?

    Hello, fellow diesel owners.

New the this world with a question.

I have a 2018 RAM with the G56 transmission, and I'm starting to get ready for a clutch upgrade.

The truck is totally stock, and I daily drive and pull a dual axle trailer occasionally.

What clutch manufacturer would you suggest above a Mopar clutch?

Thank you for your time, and I apologize if this has been asked before.

    Jerry

    South Bend.

Don’t exceed your HP rating too much with a clutch model, or you won't be able to feather it, and trying to back a heavy trailer in reverse would be very choppy.

    07’ 2500 Mega 4x4 G56 (Thuren/Carli suspension; Dynatrac freespin; Smarty Jr)
    14’ 2500 CrewC 4x4 Auto (stock)

I did a South Bend 3250GK mainly because when I tow, it's very heavy.

Like the other member said, you can't really feather it backing up a trailer.

What I did, though to fix that issue is buy a 2wd Low kit when on pavement and just use a regular 4wd Low any other time backing up a trailer on grass.

The clutch only gets better as it breaks in, BTW.

They say the full organic dual disk is nice if you're not towing super heavy.

The one I got is half organic and ceramic
