    G56 Trans Acts Up?

I wondered if anyone had any input on my G56 trans, which starts acting up after roughly 30 minutes of driving.

It runs fine after start-up but makes a grinding noise and acts like it doesn't want to disengage when pressed in the clutch.

The only thing off visually looking under the truck is trans oil appears to be coming from the front of the bell housing.

    Thoughts?

Very well, it could be the synchro for that particular gear that does not want to mesh up correctly with the speed of the gear.

Edit: Just realized you have fluid draining from the bellhousing area.

Check the fluid level in the trans.

It might be low since it’s leaking.

Of course, it could also be that your rear main seal is leaking.

Also, check the fluid level of the hydraulic clutch reservoir.

That could be another issue of what’s leaking.
