    Lift With Spacers?

    Oohrah, RAM addicts.

I need to know if using 3-inch spacers with a lift is safe.

I was told by a business that I could save money.

But I'm told it would not be a good ride and that it is unsafe.

Has anyone with experience doing this?

    Thanks.

I would buy a wheel with a deeper negative offset than a spacer, "that's just me."

Here is an article about the pros and cons.

I agree with Corkey; spacers and lift are not a good combination.

Plus, using a spacer will shorten the life of your wheel hub assembly.

Thats a lot of stress on those bearings with wheels sticking out that far.

So, I did not clarify myself.

I mean coil spacers to use along with a lift.

The lift installer said it was ok.

So, for example, 2 in coil spacers (as in from a leveling kit) along with a 6 in lift.

    Thanks again.

    I appreciate the clarity.

I thought you were speaking of wheel spacers, LOL.

Using a coil spacer will be a rough and stiff ride.

    Re: Lift With Spacers?

    That's my fault as well.

For some reason, I was thinking of wheel spacers for some oddball reason.

You will experience a rougher ride with them.

They are, generally, the cheapest lift to buy.

What you get for paying the extra money for a proper lift kit via Carli or other top-shelf companies is a ton of better ride quality, with upgraded components that tend to last longer.
