I’m curious about how everyone is taking their 68RFE to rpm-wise.
I think I am being a bit paranoid since smoking my original trans.
I now have a Jasper with the extra clutches for 5 and 6 with the billet triple disc torque converter.
Maybe I am paranoid, but I run the truck on a 120HP RaceME box tune, and it doesn’t have the trans tuning yet, but that’s soon to come.
However, what got me on this topic is watching the truck gauge values getting on the highway is the only time I start to build up to and past 10 psi of boost, but I tend to let out because I’m paranoid about being hard on the trans when shifting into 5 and 6.
And at that PSI, I’m under 50% throttle and 1800 rpm.
What does everyone recommend as a safe point to take the rpm and throttle percent to without hurting the trans?
Sorry for the long story.
I feel the truck needs more rpm and throttle to start building boost, but I am unsure how much I can push the trans-load.
