It’s the rear door air exhaust vent.
You should be able to gently pry it out with a plastic pry tool and snap it back in.

Turns out it was a pack rat.
Once a year, we get one here, and this time, the little ******* had to die in my new truck.

Any good news on how to get this guy out of here?
I can’t reach him from the grille.
It's too big to pull through the hole.

I figured it would pull quickly, so the grille is out (and now taped over because it stinks).
I can’t reach the little guy from there.
Is there better access to that channel?
Can I flood that cavity without damaging anything?
It is right next to what seems to be a cushion from the cab to the frame.

Hopefully, others will come up with some ideas.
I would pull out as much as possible with needle nose pliers.
Eventually, it will decompose and dry up, then blow out with compressed air.

Thank you, sir.
I was hoping not to do it that way, but it doesn’t appear that today is my lucky day.
Thanks for the input, man!

Have you tried something like this?

I’ve always called them mechanical fingers.
Even if these don’t work, everyone will find a use for this sooner or later.

I ended up getting at least most of it, thankfully.
It wasn’t pleasant, but it’s done.
