    Welcome!

If you go with the 67A you may be eligible for the extended emissions warranty.

With the other option you will have a lifetime warranty on the emissions items.

    Re: Hello From Southwest Florida

Thank you for the welcoming words.

    I'm glad to be here (I think :-// )

Yes, AK, I agree with your point.

Caveat for me is that I may not keep this rig for more than 2-4 years, as once budget allows, I'd like to get into an '18 Mega DRW to build right, on a diet, and keep long-term.

Therefore, my dilema given I believe that over the next few years, a low-miles truck like mine may sell better at full weight.

67A's Extended Warranty is tempting even though it does not cover EGR for my year.

I bought the truck with 72k but with a lot of idle hours.

After 13k more highways driving and continually treating the fuel system, I have not seen any codes or had any issues in over 10k miles.

Regens still way too frequent (in my diesel-emissions-rookie opinion), but ever-so-slowly improving.

Between currently having zero "real" issues and enough post-67A horror stories, it is a more difficult decision.

Holding off on 67A and not touching it may be the most sensible route even though it exposes me to replacement parts $$ or full D cost if systems start failing.

Doing 67A takes this risk away (except EGR), but it comes with a non-trivial probability to actually make it all worse for some time until dealer-fixed with no 2nd vehicle to count on.

    So here I am! ¯\_(")_/¯
