    Replaced injectors, same problems.

    I got bbi remans.

One could be broken, but BBi seems like a reputable company.

    I replaced filters, too.

    I'm not noticing a blow-by, but I'll check again.

I'll also try logging rail pressure and installing my boost gauge.

What else would cause similar symptoms?

Bad FCA, injector harness, or any other ideas out there?

    Valve issue?

I work nights, so telling the difference between white and blue smoke is difficult.

Are you still seeing the oil level increasing?

Can you smell fuel in the oil or out the exhaust?

    No coolant loss, correct?

I'll have to check the oil I drained.

I may have been seeing what I wanted to see with that.

I had a gearhead coworker smell my exhaust while it smoked.

He said it's mainly oil, a touch of diesel, and looks primarily blue.

It makes me think of something to do with the valves.

Maybe it is leaking oil and insufficient compression to burn everything in the cylinder?

There isn't a bad consistent miss, which may rule out a bent valve.

    Possibly a guide or seats?

I'll gladly replace a head if it'll fix this.

    Zero coolant loss.

Before pulling the head, some additional checks and tests must be performed.

See the attached information below on troubleshooting Blue/Gray Smoke.

If your previous injectors had been leaking for some time, there’s a possibility that cylinder wash may have caused premature cylinder or ring wear.

A relative compression and crankcase pressure test is one of the fastest and least invasive tests.

I was just about to mention cylinder wash and performing a compression test, but this man beat me to it, and he’s dead on the money.

Not to scare you, but you need to rule it out.

I just worked on an engine a month ago that came in for injectors, but I ended up sticking a borescope into the cylinder and sure enough they had run it too long with a leaking injector and washed her out.

Compression test after that confirmed it.
