    Not Fun! (Blow Out)

I thought I would post my most recent miss-hap with the work truck.

I blew another front tire while cruising at 70mph in heavy traffic.

Did some damage: lower fender, inner fender liner, step, and rocker.

    Only a split-second vibration, then ka-BOOM!

Mash the gas, and hold on. Luckily, it was the old flatbed, so that tail couldn't come around.

I still had to clean out drawers.

I don't know about my luck these days.

It seems I have blown my share of tires in the last few years, and luckily, nobody was hurt, and there was no property damage besides my trucks.

I'm not sure they build tires like they used to.

Needless to say, new tires are on the front, at least.

What is ironic is that the 4 tires that I have blown have all come within the same 3-mile stretch of road.

    God loves me.

I'm sorry to hear about your streak of bad luck with tires.

It must have been quite a scare; thankfully, no other vehicles were involved, and no one was injured.

That must have been a wild ride.

I'm glad no one was hurt, and the damage was minimal.

All the thoughts that zoom through your mind are crazy when something like that happens.

Luckily, training, experience, luck, and our almighty God were all on my side.

While regaining total control, I was picking out the least lousy spot to leave the road if it happened, planning my crash.

Luckily, reflexes and muscle memory are still good from racing days past.

Anyway, thanks for the kind comments.
