    Weird Tire Wear?

I have a weird tire issue and wondered how to proceed.

My front driver and rear passenger tires are both 9/32nd tread.

My front passenger and rear driver are both 6/32nd tread.

I have rotated them correctly and in the correct order, but this is how they are for some reason.

My question: In the interest of even tire wear, should I put together each of the two tires that have similar wear?

Once the 6/32nds Wear down, I will be able to get new ones under warranty, so I assume that I want to keep the lowest wear ones together, but I wanted to ask here first in case there would be any adverse effects from my rotating one of the tires so the wear matched.

I would rotate in the “X” pattern to even out the wear.

That's the problem: I will never have those two tires together if I follow the standard rotation pattern.

For example, I would have to swap the front passenger and rear passenger, and only those if I want to get the wear together.

Do you mean rotating the two affected tires by swapping them?

If all four tires were installed new at the same time, I would continue to rotate them in the “X” pattern to see if they would even out.

If you inherited this problem and someone replaced two tires, I would pair them on the same axle.

Two tires were replaced on one axle, and maybe six months later, two tires were replaced on the other.

The two axles have always had tires that were paired together.

In this case, I would keep both axles paired with the same amount of tire wear and rotate them side to side and front to back as paired.
