2017 3500 DRW J1939 Data Link Connector Location

Hey guys, I can not find the J1939 connector where folks hearsay it should be.

I've looked everywhere around the air intake manifold and can't find it.

Has anyone seen it in a different location?

My course is to get the MM3 installed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated; thanks!

It will be on the firewall side of the air intake manifold, towards the engine block, about halfway down behind the throttle valve.

The J1939 plug may be taped up to a wiring harness and not visible, but keep looking in that area for lumps in the harness and report back on your progress.

    Exactly as Bob stated.

It’s likely taped up in the wire harness and is not visible.

Okay, y'all were right; it was completely concealed in the wiring loom and tape.

Was right where I've seen it in pictures but buried inside the harness.

Was a slight bulge or lump, which is how I found it.

    Thanks, guys.
