So, I assume the noise was the input shaft drum clearance itself onto the center support.
Pictures will be below to show the damage.
Now, I need to take inventory and order parts.

The decision has been made.
My wife and I are tired of the 68RFE guessing game of when the ticking time bomb will decide it’s done.
We are going to be ordering the ATS Allison conversion kit.
Unfortunately, there is a 3 week lead time to get it.
Hope it gets here before the snow starts flying, LOL.
