ATS Allison Swap?

I imagine someone on here has to have done the conversion at this point.

I am tired of dealing with the 68RFE and looking at options.

At this point, I'm just looking for opinions, so give me your good and bad points.

I have all the parts in my shopping cart to rebuild the 68, but before I do, what is the general consensus?

I dug deep into the whole transmission topic a while back.

If I ever needed to do another transmission for the 4th time, I would go to the G56 route.

You never hear anything bad about them besides a tired clutch starting to slip or the synchro grinding.

For my life, I can't recall the company's name off the top of my head, but I'll let you know when I remember it.

They are a one-stop shop, besides modifying the drive lines to get shortened and lengthened.

You'll want to rate your clutch for your power goals now and later to handle everything.

Plus, you can tell the buddies to push the 7k truck to pop start whenever your starter gives out.
