    Exhaust: Down Pipe VS. Turboback?

I am hoping to tap some ideas from the IGAC brain trust:

    Currently have turbo back exhaust.

Doing some research and planning, a downpipe back setup would be fine since I am staying 4”.

Am I crazy thinking about getting a race pipe that connects to the downpipe and adding the resonator and muffler?

Save from having to take the downpipe off.

I am doing everything myself, which is all new to me.

Perhaps the extra $200-400 in parts would save time, labor, and frustration.

I went with the down pipe back and muffler setup for an easy install. If your stock down pipe is in good shape, I don’t see any reason to change it unless you are sizing up to a 5” system.

If stock down pipe is good, just leave it in place and add your piping from there.

I left my factory resonator in place with the factory exhaust and just used the raceme pipe in place of the soot cookers.

    I was thinking the same.

I'm going to take the suggestions and try and find a down-pipe back setup.

    Thanks for the replies
