    5th Gen Exhaust Brake?

I've been looking around and can't really find anything.

My father inland has a 5th Gen and was wondering if he could have his exhaust brake come on when it's started like mine.

Mines is fully deleted and automatically comes on with the tune, but he doesn't want to do all of that.

He just wants the exhaust brake to come on when started.

I have an EZ Lynk is there anything I could do to help him out? Thanks.

The 5th generation may have changed, don't quote me, though.

Have him just engage the EB once the truck is started.

I believe it has to be below a certain temp for it to kick on to help warm the motor up.

Once the coolant hits the right temp, it disables the brake at idle.

My experience is that when the truck was stock it didn't matter whether you left the EB on or not, it defaults to off every time you start the truck.

After weight loss I believe the tune set it to just remain in whatever position it was when the truck was shut off, IE if you have it engaged when you park the truck, it will will be engaged when you start it next time.

I'd like to imagine you can configure this in AlphaOBD without having to go through the whole process of tuning the truck.
