Okay, I need a bit of help, please.
The valve body has just been replaced with an ATS unit.
I bought two new solenoids, a transducer and a governor solenoid (rostra), from Rockauto.
Parts supply is limited because I am in the UK.
I installed it, and all the low-speed testing was great.
It was nice to have a more positive feeling shift.
Until - I got to 50mph, *Ding* Check engine light, transmission limp home mode - Stuck in 3rd.
With a "P0868 governor pressure sensor voltage too high" On the smarty.
I can shut the truck off, clear the light, and restart, it's okay.
Lockup is acceptable, but overdrive didn't kick in when I called for it.
"Voltage too high"; am I looking for an electrical open circuit on that 8-pin connector harness?
What is the Governor sensor?
The black Transducer?
Or the silver governor solenoid?
Are these rostra units known to be knackered out of the box?
The transmission is built, there is a new TC, and the fluid is at the correct level and is cherry red.
The previous solenoids and sensors/transducers are all Amazon Chinese specials.
They are not going back in.
At most, I will re-use that harness if needed.
