Hi everyone.
I installed a RaceME Ultra in my truck with the latest box tunes, and I'm not too happy with it.
When I put it in gear, it intermittently surges for 5 to 10 seconds and seems even worse in reverse.
The tunes all seem excessively smokey, which isnt desirable where I live (trying to fly under the radar as much as possible).
The worst experience Ive had was hunting a few weeks ago.
Above 10500ft at startup, the truck is billowing rich white smoke and fuel knocking terribly.
It lopes like this until it warms up and never runs decent.
Mind you, it wasn't even cold enough to get a WTS light.
Ambient temps were in the 50s to 60s.
The truck never ran well at altitude.
Since coming home, Ive cleaned my map and installed a new FCA.
Zero change with the stumble/surge at idle.
I haven't been able to return to high elevation to try it again.
I live at 5k ft.
Curious if anyone has any ideas.
Do I need different tuning?
Monitoring actual and desired rail pressure and VGT position, I can't see anything out of order.
Any help is much appreciated.
